Hi all,

The next set of seminars are coming up on Saturday, 13th March.

In the morning we will have Graham Reid, who will be presenting: Travel Writing.

And in the afternoon we have with Siobhan Harvey presenting: Writing Poetry.

What we have been able to take away from our first two seminar-workshops, was that the title and subject for the seminars isn’t even half of what we all got from attending.

I fully anticipate it will exactly the same with these two subjects also.

The skills and techniques for writing a great Travel piece are universal to any writing. The adventure and romance of travel is also an integral part of any novel. I would definitely commend this seminar to anyone with an interest in writing, an interest in improving your writing, and any interest in travel at all. Being able to transport you reader to another place is what writing is all about.

I have wondered if I have done the afternoon seminar a disservice by simply titling it “writing poetry”. The better name would have been Creative writing. Anyone who has ever been along to a Poetry Workshop or Reading will appreciate the extent to which it is all about being able to fully develop the beauty of words and description. A well chosen and constructed phrase can be a delight and a revelation.

This is the perfect forum for honing your skills with words and language. Inject the pizzaz into your words that you have been looking for. Writing can have a subtlety, music and rhythm that can bring it all to life, and be a thing of beauty.

Come along and learn how to take your writing to another level. Don’t be shy or think that your writing isn’t really good enough. All you need is your interest and desire to write. We are not here to put any pressure on, but to offer everyone the chance to learn and improve, and to have a lot of fun in the process.

I hope to see you there  :-)
